Owner & President

Bear Market Financial Services is led by Owner and President Curtis James. With over a decade of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, Curtis believes in a straightforward, direct and crystal-clear approach when working with clients about proven retirement strategies.

Curtis founded Bear Market Financial Services, LLC with the objective of helping clients confidently pursue the simple, comfortable retirement they envision. His mission is to assist you in achieving the retirement you deserve through a personal approach focused on getting to know your unique goals, situation and attitudes about risk.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Curtis loves spending time with his wife, Lauren, and is the proud father of an amazing daughter, Taya. He enjoys going to church, spending time outside with family, grilling, trying new restaurants, and supporting Minnesota sports teams.

Curtis is a licensed insurance producer in Minnesota and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas.

Nate Hendrickson

Client Relationship Manager

Nate joins Bear Market Financial Services with over a decade of experience in the financial services industry. As the Client Service Manager, he is dedicated to helping clients navigate smoothly throughout their retirement journey. His passion for building lasting relationships drives his commitment to providing personalized guidance and support to both new and existing clients.

When he's not at work, Nate loves spending quality time at home with his wonderful wife and their three lively boys. Whether they're trying new foods, catching the latest movie, or playing and watching every sport imaginable, they always find ways to have fun together.

Chelsie Babcock

Director of Marketing

As the Director of Marketing at Bear Market Financial Services, Chelsie strides to elevate the firm's brand and reach new families looking for help with their retirement planning. With over 10 years of experience in marketing, graphic design, and customer service - she is passionate about finding the balance between designing elite creative strategies and building lasting relationships with both our current and future clients. Having spent years living in California, Chelsie brings a unique blend of West Coast influence and Midwestern values to the firm.

Outside of work, Chelsie enjoys family time with her daughter, staying active, and going to enjoy live music.

Regina Boston

Director of Operations

Regina came to Bear Market Financial Services team with over a decade of experience in project management and client services. She is passionate about connecting with people and delivering exceptional service. Regina has earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the College of St. Benedict and a graduate certificate in management communications from the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas.

When not in the office, Regina enjoys traveling, staying active through exercise, and experimenting with new baking recipes. She is married and the mom of two amazing boys.

BROOKE KENOW

Administrative & Event Assistant

From a very young age Brooke knew she wanted to make an impact in other people’s lives. Her positive energy and fun personality help guarantee an exceptional client experience to our members. Brooke is responsible for providing administrative support and assisting with our marketing and events and is your first point of contact with Bear Market Financial Services, LLC.

When Brooke is not out at the office, you will probably find her with her nose in a book or spending some quality time with her amazing husband and family.
